wednesday 21st / thursday 22nd november 2012 :
to be contradictory both a lot and nothing got done although over the past two days i have successfully made the replaceable mouths / misc facial crap needed for both animations , have cobbled together the set for the two opposing character animation and actually started work on it I still feel that nothing much as got done or gone quite right.
Problems:
day one
1. firstly when i made the fimo replaceable mouths i used what i belived was a white fimo which in reality turns out to be a transparent fimo which has now left my mouths looking like they belong to someone with very poor dental hygiene which is ok i guess as after all my lip-sync character is a devil ( not that i know a devils dental regime
2. whilst baking my fimo I'm my delightfully shit oven i happened to over cook them by a bit and although they have turned out fine ( perhaps minus the gamy teeth) i had the delightful experience of inhaling some fumes that i have learnt can be quite harmful.
day two
1.waking up late and rushing around although was missing my head but still getting to the rig at around 9ish , then takes me a number of hours to set everything up which wasn't unexpected but due to the damn special offer of monster end up having to much caffeine by12pm being to jittery to animate and then after some semi successful animating I crash hard
2. the fact that the new system for booking out rigs is stupid. the fact that you have to book it on siso then go an tell Manoubi that your on the rig but then also the fact that if you have bravely managed to book an entire day ( which comes in three 4 hour slots) it seems he only ticks off the first four hour segment as when i have come back and checked emails my rig bookings after 1pm have been canceled as i haven't collected them ...FAIL
3. due to having nothing but caffeine and nicotine all day to sustain me i crashed hard around 4:30 , that and being annoyed with an un-satisfactory walk cycle i packed it in 3 hour and 30 minutes prior to my arranged plan ( this obviously being my fault).
so in summary beware baking fimo and make sure your using the right stuff, the siso rig booking is shitty and make sure you take a pack lunch if your going to work on a rig hermit style and possible ingest a little less caffeine , these are my words of wisdom
