more model making

today I have been able to do a bit more work to the sets for the jabberwocky animation , retouching the elements that i painted the other day and also painting some slats for the base of the animation set and putting a base coat on another piece of the trench , along with this have created 3 files A3 sized in illustrator for the laser cutter which i will be booking tomorrow morning , on these files are trees , tree stumps and buildings which will be cut out of 3mm MDF sheets.

animating lip sync:

the plan was to complete at least half of my lip sync animation which would have come to about 10 seconds of animation as the audio itself is around 20 seconds longs ,  but i have been working more on my over modules but this doesn't mean that i haven't got anything done , i have been able to complete my dope sheet which will help with the animating process and i have also set up the animations set on the rig im using so i will be ready to start animating as soon as i get in on friday , where i shall be in for 8 hours and so hopefully be a rather productive day , with as little procrastinating as possible.

progress in model making part.2

along with the progress mentioned in the previous entry , we have been given the task to design and sculpt some of the minor characters that will appear in our animation , this includes a horse in a crater and some carrion birds / rats ..this will be interesting to attempt , but the main reason for this entry is that  i have been charged with the task of producing some background miscellaneous props using the laser cutter , which will be the first time i have done so so will be interesting , i have already started to prepare the files and then i will book the time out on friday morning and hopefully get them cut some point next wednesday. below are images of drawings for these misc props from drawing / scan  then trace and neaten up of photoshop , just need to change them up on illustrator this being the line width to 0.001 and to change the line colour to red so that the laser cutter will recognise it.

Progress in model making module part.1

Over the past few days there has been a range of progress in this module where we all have to work together to create a set for our one day to be animated jabberwocky animation ...we are still in the stages of preparing the sets but it is definitely making progress as i previously said.

in the past couple of days we have been given a list of things that need to be arranged in the next week or so . and some of them now have been done , this includes the texture painting of the sides of the trenches / tank traps / wire poles  and then the base coating  of these items , the wire poles and tank traps sprayed with black paint the trenches with a brown base coat.
